This wine shows similar fruit ripeness with attractive cassis, well-managed herbaceous notes and a generous core of fruitier black plum Merlot-influenced aromas and flavours. Careful use of new oak – only 20% here with the remainder of the wine seeing 1 year-old French barrique. On the palate, you’ll find ripe dark fruit marrying well with subtle new oak notes (clove, toast, smoke) and a rounded plate with lifting acidity, slightly chewy tannins and 15% abv. that is well-integrated in this wine.
